Strange Love Story: Woman made ‘bomb threat call at Bengaluru airport’ to stop her lover from flying

woman's threatening call at Bengaluru airport

A 29-year-old woman from Pune has landed in legal trouble after she allegedly made a bomb threat call to the helpline desk of Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). A report said her alleged motive was to stop her boyfriend from boarding a flight to Mumbai.

After this incident which happened on June 26, the police had to register a case. Subsequently, an FIR was registered under section 505(1)(b) of the IPC for making statements creating a public nuisance.

According to reports, the accused, named Indra Rajwar, called Bengaluru airport authorities and informed them that her boyfriend, who was scheduled to fly from Bengaluru to Mumbai, was carrying a bomb in his luggage. Upon investigation, the person was thoroughly searched but no explosive material was found, leading to the call being deemed a fake call.

Further investigation revealed that both Rajwar and her boyfriend were present at the airport that evening. Despite having booked separate flights to Mumbai, they were seen chatting in the departure lounge before making the fake call, the report said.

Rajwar was later detained and taken to the KIA police station, where he confessed to making the false report due to personal differences with his partner and a desire to prevent his departure. Police investigation into the matter is ongoing and further updates are awaited.
