CrowdStrike Update : Windows users globally are experiencing the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error, causing systems to suddenly shut down or restart. Microsoft announced that the error is due to a recent update of the CrowdStrike ‘Falcon Sensor.’
Nearly 1400 flights cancelled worldwide due to software update
The bug has impacted many companies, airlines, trains, banks, and government offices globally. Many of them posted on social media ‘X’ troubles they are facing due to this issue. Thousands of people stuck at airport during their international travel. Almost 1400 flights has cancelled worldwide because of the software issue.
Microsoft announced that the “underlying cause” of the widespread IT outage affecting its apps has been fixed. However, some services are still experiencing “residual impact.” The company previously attributed the issue to “an update from a third-party software platform,” which has now been confirmed as CrowdStrike.
What is Blue Screen of Death ?
Blue Screen errors, also known as STOP code errors, occur when a critical issue forces Windows to shut down or restart unexpectedly. You might see a message like “Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.”
These errors can be caused by hardware or software problems. If you recently installed new hardware and experienced a Blue Screen error, try shutting down your PC, removing the new hardware, and restarting. How to Solve Windows Blue Screen Error?
If you can’t resolve the Blue Screen error, try using the Blue Screen Troubleshooter in the Get Help app:
- Open the Get Help app in Windows.
- Type “Troubleshoot BSOD error” in the search bar.
- Follow the step-by-step instructions provided.
